Description
Planning for and responding to emergencies can be overwhelming. The key is preparation. This episode discusses what emergency managers and shelter operators need to know in order to prepare for housing people with disabilities and also talks about what people with disabilities need to do to prepare for emergency evacuations.
This month’s guest speakers are Marilyn Self, Regional Director, Disaster Support Functions for the American Red Cross – Georgia Region and Cheri Hofmann, Distance Learning Coordinator and Technical Assistance Specialist for the Southeast ADA Center, and the moderator is Mary Morder, Southeast ADA Center.
