Laura TaylorLaura Taylor is the Affirmative Employment and Special Emphasis Program Manager for Disability Employment and Veterans Portfolio, in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Equity (OEEOWE).

Taylor joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2015, as a Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Specialist providing procedural and technical guidance to customers concerning reasonable accommodation, and related issues concerning agency policies and procedures.

Prior to CDC, Taylor worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration. During her tenure with the VA, she has had the pleasure of serving in various professional roles including, Accounting Technician, Human Resources Specialist Workers’ Compensation and Employee/Labor Relations; EEO Specialist, Disability Program Manager, Diversity Advisory Committee Chairperson, Trainer, Certified Mediator, and Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator.

Taylor is a veteran of the U.S. Army. She is a graduate of the inaugural CDC-Cornell University Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Certificate Program. Taylor received her Bachelor’s in Business /E-Business with Honors from University of Phoenix and her Master’s in Human Resources Management from Troy University. She has received numerous awards throughout her private sector and federal career. Taylor is inspired daily by her husband, children, and 2 French bulldogs, “Tank” and “Titan” (T&T).
