Director of Project Healthy Grandparents and Clinical Assistant Professor at Georgia State University

Patricia Lawrence Patricia Lawrence is a PhD-prepared nurse with more than 35 years of clinical experience. She is dually certified as both a primary care and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner and remains in clinical practice while also working as an educator and researcher at Georgia State University. She is a proud graduate of Georgia State University’s LEND program, and has practiced at Boston Children’s Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She is the Director of “Project Healthy Grandparents” which is a multidisciplinary community-based research program that provides a one-year intervention to improve the physical and mental well-being of grandparents raising their grandchildren in parent-absent homes.
