Sandra (Sandy) Williams, serves as the Human Resources Office (HRO), Client Services Office (CSO) Special Hiring Program Team Chief. She is a 20-year Air Force Veteran, who has a combined 30 plus years of federal and private sector leadership experience. With significant experience in Human Resources, business process re-engineering, organization, and employee development.

Since joining CDC in 2005, Sandy has held several positions within the agency. Her career spans from the Work Force and Career Development Manager, in the former Coordination Center for Terrorism and Preparedness, to the Acting Chief Diversity Officer in the Office of the Chief Operating Office and Team Chief in the HRO Executive and Scientific Resources Office.

In her current role as Supervisory HR Specialist and Special Hiring Programs Team Chief; Sandy leads a “Can Do” dedicated team. Sandy and her team support the HRO, CSO and CDC mission through the administration of the Special Hiring Programs. Which are management programs established to promote equal opportunity in the hiring, and advancement on underrepresented groups, such as the Schedule A, Persons with Disabilities programs and Veterans Programs.

Sandy also works in partnership with the EEO Disability Program Manager, facilitating forums to inform and educate the CDC community on the Persons with Disabilities Programs.

Sandy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a master’s degree in Phycology and Management.
